At a_space we value the Australian landscape and this is reflected in the nature of our products. Our contemporary and Organic ranges are streamlined, design-led, and above all, playful! Their form and aesthetics have drawn inspiration from a modern, architectural, and distinctly Australian perspective in design.
The range’s high-quality Australian Timber elements provide a modern and exciting twist on nature play, allowing children to interact with their natural landscape while exploring the multitude of play events that the range offers. Equally, the Contemporary range offers strong architectural forms with streamlined materials and aesthetics. The modern designs feature striking new aluminium roofs and patterned aluminium mesh barriers, with colour schemes drawing inspiration from the vibrant Australian landscape.
Each range offers a variety of colour schemes that pay homage to Australian fauna and flora. These include the Mangroves Tones palette, which alludes to natural elements of water and flora that are unique to mangroves with distinctive bright greens, offset by wood and earthy hues.
The play elements within our Contemporary and Organic ranges aim to excite, thrill and challenge kids! From the Scaling Walls and Rope Funnel to the Rope Hammocks and Crossings there is fun to be had by users of all abilities. An innovative array of configurations using the events create two distinctive ranges that feel modern and elevated in design.
Our project at Arthur Streeton Reserve in Yallambie compliments the luscious landscape of Banyule with its lime green tones that stand against the surrounding greenery. The space is also located across from the Arthur Streeton wetlands, allowing parents and carers the luxury of spending quality time alongside the lake whilst the kids are at play.
This project also incorporates an a_space outdoor gym which is positioned adjacent to the playspace. The gym has been provided to drive greater community health and wellbeing.
