Throughout the development of our Park Warrior range, a_space worked to consult industry professionals in teen fitness to ensure each obstacle in the series provides a healthy challenge and supports physical improvement.
a_space first introduced Park Warrior to combat the startlingly low levels of physical activity reported by Australian Teenagers. The range had to be engaging and fun, so that young people would have a reason to get active again. So through thorough research, it was devised that ninja-style obstacle courses and ‘gamifying’ the user experience through in-app connectivity was the way of the future. This way, physical fitness is merely a bi-product of teenagers and young adults challenging themselves and having fun.
Hundreds of obstacles were conceptualised and through user-testing and consultation with physicians, we refined the final selection that makes up Park Warrior. Each obstacle in the range is proven to build upon users strength, agility, speed and endurance, meaning with practice young adults will be able to see improvements in many different aspects of their physical health.
The Park Warrior app adds yet another dimension to the range. The app engages users and provides more reasons to keep them returning to our courses. Users have the ability to get tips on completing the course, record their times and verse their mates, as well as other users of the course. There is also the added thrill of aspiring to top the ‘Leaderboard’ of any local Park Warrior course.
a_space is proud to be the first Australian designer and manufacturer to bring ninja-style obstacle courses to councils and schools right around the country.
