Oberon Primary School had an old playground that desperately needed a facelift.
Old timber logs and tyres were the primary material in their main play area, and it just wasn’t cutting it for their active pupils anymore.
The long linear shape, and desire for climbing and motorskills development sent the Principal, Andrew Augerinos, looking for a company that used rope to help him optimise the awkward playground location between numerous established trees.
The school had been in contact with a_space a couple of times before, so after a quick search of our website to check we had the types of product they were looking for, our expert design consultant was called in to help Andrew plan the space.
Andrew, along with a small committee sat down with their a_space consultant to discuss their options, particularly in the climbing nets and rope structures they were most interested in. The products were explained thoroughly and after being so excited with the first design, it was revised to include more events.
