Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (Aust Govt) research shows that less than one-quarter (23%) of children aged 5–14 undertake the recommended 60 minutes of physical activity every day.
School playgrounds play an important role in children’s learning and development. Playgrounds allow children through their creativity to develop their dexterity, imagination, physical and emotional strength. However, funding new or upgraded playgrounds is a challenge faced by many schools.
There is a range of Grants available that can be accessed to fund school playground projects. To assist, we have created a resource dedicated to helping schools locate the numerous grants available. Visit our Grant Assistance page for more information.
