a_space recently hosted a group of students for a week-long program as part of a collaboration between the Knox Innovation, Opportunity and Sustainability Centre (KIOSC) and Rowville Secondary School.
KIOSC emphasizes practical learning experiences through a range of programs that provide a window into the world of employment, linking a broad range of pathways in science, maths, technology, social sciences and humanities to integrated hands-on curriculum.
The students were presented with the challenge of creating two potential outdoor gym designs for their school. With their ‘design consultant’ hats on, the group worked through each part of the process including research, site visits and concept sketches through to visualisations and costing.
On Monday 15th August, the students presented their project to Rowville Secondary school, KIOSC and a_space. Our team thoroughly enjoyed hosting the students and aiding in their development.
