A-Play (now a_space) Finalist in the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards 2015

A-Play (now a_space) was proud to be judged a finalist in the recently conducted Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards.

The Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards were established in 2001 to celebrate manufacturing excellence in Victoria. The awards acknowledge those individuals and companies whose innovation, creativity and drive helps to make Victoria’s manufacturing sector competitive.

Victoria’s Minister for Industry, Lily D’Ambrosio, recognised 16 outstanding individuals and businesses of Victoria’s manufacturing industry at the ceremony held on May 26, 2015.

This is the second year A-Play (now a_space) has been judged a finalist.

A-Play’s (now a_space) Managing Director, Dean Joel, commented “We’re honoured. Our recognition as a finalist for this prestigious award is testament to the passion and dedication of our team, and their quest to continually improve. Hopefully next year we’ll go one better!”

This week, a Councillor at Coffs Harbour City Council put forward the idea of a playground for seniors?

Not exactly, the Councillor was putting forward the concept of outdoor gyms accessible to seniors as a means of getting seniors in the community more active. As the Councillor put it, “As we are all getting older and in our turn becoming seniors, shouldn’t we desire that these seniors remain as healthy as they can, as flexible and as self-reliant as possible?”

Designing Playgrounds for Special Schools Intersport’s “Run the Logo” Campaign

We are so thrilled that a_space did our school playground. Blackheath School P&C raised enough money to put in play equipment and a_space were really thoughtful and sensitive to our budget. The design, landscaping, project management and installation team were completely professional and approachable through every stage of the process. The children at Blackheath Public School are absolutely thrilled with their new equipment – the teachers can’t keep them off it.
