Largs Bay School needed a new play structure for their Junior school.
The school consulted families and children to construct a wish list for the new play area. Challenging equipment was by far the most popular vote from those the play area was being designed for.
The school, wanted to ensure that apart from providing fun, the play structure would assist in building strength, problem solving and development of motor skills.
To add more excitement, given the seaside location a nautical theme was proposed to spark imagination and themed play. The range of play events incorporated were purposely selected to drive the developmental benefits sought.
The new playground has been extremely well received by the students and broader school community. This is the third playground provided to this school by a_space and we’re thrilled to have been entrusted repeatedly.
