POSTED ON: Wednesday, 21 Aug 2013

It was with pleasure that A-Play (now a_space) recently unveiled a shiny new set of playground equipment which they donated to the Dunalley Primary School. The town of Dunalley suffered significant loss to property in the bushfires in January of this year with the primary school being completely destroyed.

Soon after a request for help was made to A-Play’s (now a_space) Managing Director, Dean Joel, to which he swiftly responded. “We have a long history of working with schools in Tasmania and when the request was made I was only too happy to help”, Dean commented. “Being in a position to be able to assist and contribute to the recovery of the community provides us with great satisfaction.”

A-Play’s (now a_space) design consultant Leigh Hinds, together with his installation team played an important part in this rebuilding project donating time and materials in the installation of the playground

We are so thrilled that a_space did our school playground. Blackheath School P&C raised enough money to put in play equipment and a_space were really thoughtful and sensitive to our budget. The design, landscaping, project management and installation team were completely professional and approachable through every stage of the process. The children at Blackheath Public School are absolutely thrilled with their new equipment – the teachers can’t keep them off it.

“This project was excellent, ran smoothly, was well coordinated and completed ahead of schedule. A new rubber surface, some new equipment and shade installation has given this playground a great face lift and an extended life”
