Wesley College junior school is situated in a built up area on Melbourne’s St Kilda Road. Their old existing playground that was in need of replacement. The school wanted a new playground that would be visually impressive as well as delivering great play value for students. A challenge to overcome was delivering lots of play value in a limited space.
Our design team created a play ‘world’ based on our Spire Towers range. The main structure consists of multiple towers with a vast array of play activities including large tube slides. The theme put forward was based on Australian nature with a colour palette and materials reminiscent of our bush lands. The engineered tower adjoins a nature play space consisting of logs, rocks and sand.
Feedback from school staff and students has been overwhelmingly positive. One of the students advised us that the new playground was ‘the best in the world!’. A wonderful compliment to receive.
