Trinity Grammar wanted a playground that would set a new benchmark. The playground needed to be eye catching, cater to all primary school year levels and provide maximum play value within a narrow, long stretch of land.
a_space collaborated with the School’s landscape architects to develop a ‘tower’ design that is visually striking, packed with play value through multiple levels and ‘zoned’ to offer appropriate play activities for each year level. At one end the play structure feeds into a sand pit packed with toys and at the other students scale to the highest level of the tower and ‘escape’ via a high spiral slide. The structure offers approximately 30 different play events and activities.
Dean Joel, a_space’s Managing Director, commented, “This play structure sets a new benchmark for play design in Australia and demonstrates our ability to creatively solve problems, think differently and work collaboratively to create spectacular results.” The school is thrilled with the outcome!
