Our client, Rob Lynch, a property developer behind a 323-lot subdivision in Tasmania’s South-East, wanted to provide a suitable tribute to Madison Lyden, a Tasmanian killed in a tragic accident while holidaying in New York in 2018. Mr Lynch’s son was in New York with Madison at the time of the accident which deeply affected their family.
To honour this moving tribute, we proposed a multi-generational space which families could enjoy together. Our design which was accepted included an impressive Spire Tower, a separate play structure for younger children, a Park Warrior obstacle course circuit for bigger kids, teens and adventurous adults and an outdoor gym suitable for adults of all ages.
At the official opening Madison’s mother, Amanda Berry, said her daughter would be “humbled and over the moon” to see the enormous, joy-filled playground bearing her name.” “To have families to be able to come down here and enjoy this amazing park and make memories here… for decades to come, it’s phenomenal.”
