Grand Opening of Koshigaya Park, Campbelltown

Residents and visitors to Campbelltown now have access to a new state of the art playground recently opened at Koshigaya Park. The opening was officiated by Campbelltown’s Mayor, Cr Anoulack Chanthivong, who was joined by thousands of residents who enjoyed the festivities. The playground project was designed and managed by A-Play featuring products from their Playspace range including a number of items designed for equal access. A 3m ‘Whirly Go Round’ is one of the centrepieces.

This week, a Councillor at Coffs Harbour City Council put forward the idea of a playground for seniors?

Not exactly, the Councillor was putting forward the concept of outdoor gyms accessible to seniors as a means of getting seniors in the community more active. As the Councillor put it, “As we are all getting older and in our turn becoming seniors, shouldn’t we desire that these seniors remain as healthy as they can, as flexible and as self-reliant as possible?”
