Playground equipment

  • What types of playground equipment do you offer?

We offer a comprehensive range of Australian-designed and manufactured outdoor playground equipment. Our range includes everything from climbing nets, swings, spinners and spring rockers, to large-scale play structures, themed play elements, and sensory-rich features.

Whether you’re designing an early childcare playspace, a primary school play zone or a high-traffic public park, we have options to suit every age group, budget, and footprint. Our goal is to create spaces that invite kids outdoors, encourage active play, and support healthy development.

  • Do your playgrounds comply with Australian Standards (e.g. AS 4685)?

Yes, absolutely. All of our playground equipment is designed and manufactured in accordance with the Australian Standards for playground safety, including AS 4685. Our in-house team of designers and engineers work closely with industry experts to make sure every product supports safe, developmentally appropriate play.

We also maintain ISO9001 certification, which reflects our broader commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement. With ASpace, you can be confident your playspace meets all the right safety and compliance benchmarks.

  • Can you coordinate with other contractors or builders on-site?

Absolutely. We often work alongside builders, landscapers, and other contractors as part of broader park or school upgrades. Our experienced project management team knows how to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and align with on-site schedules.

Whether you need us to integrate with a master plan or slot into a staged construction timeline, we’re flexible, communicative, and solutions-focused throughout the process.

  • Do you handle council approvals or permits?

While we don’t submit applications on your behalf, we’re well-versed in the approval processes that apply to local councils and government-managed sites. We’re happy to assist with the documentation, drawings, and compliance details required for permit applications.

Our team regularly works with councils across Australia and understands what’s needed to get things moving quickly and correctly. If you need support with site plans or product compliance details, we’ve got you covered.

  • Can you upgrade or expand an existing playground?

Yes, we do it all the time. Whether your existing playground needs a refresh, a new feature added, or a full-scale expansion, we can design a solution that works with your current site and equipment.

We can match the look and feel of your original play elements, introduce new play value, or adapt the space to cater to a wider age range or accessibility need. Let us know what you’re working with and we’ll help you make the most of it.

  • What safety features are included in your playground equipment?

Every product is designed with safety in mind, from rounded edges and anti-slip surfaces to sturdy anchoring systems and age-appropriate layouts. We carefully consider fall heights, impact zones and user experience during the design phase to reduce risk and support safer play.

Our compliance with AS 4685 is more than a box-tick, it’s part of a bigger commitment to designing equipment that keeps children safe while they explore, climb, spin and swing.

  • Can we get replacement parts if needed?

Of course. Because we manufacture our equipment locally, we can supply replacement parts quickly and without overseas delays. Whether you need a bolt, bracket, rope or panel replaced, our team can identify and supply exactly what you need to keep your playspace running smoothly. Just get in touch with our spare parts team and we’ll get things moving.

  • How long does play equipment installation take from order to installation?

Every project is different, but typically the process from order to installation can take anywhere from 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the project, site access, and scheduling. The benefit of working with a local manufacturer like PlayCo is our ability to offer shorter lead times and responsive service.

Once we’ve locked in your design and quote, we’ll provide a clear project timeline so you know exactly what to expect at each stage, from site inspection through to handover.
